Day 1: Visiting Marrakech
Upon your arrival, you will meet your guide, who will help you transfer your belongings to your hotel for check-in. You will have the remainder of the morning to relax, and acclimate yourself to your new environment. In the afternoon a monumental visit of the city of Marrakech will be at your disposal with a local licensed guide.
Day 2: Travel from Marrakech to Imlil, hiking Imioughlad
The following morning, you will travel for Imioughlad (5,800 feet), which is found in the Ait Misana Valley. Your guide will take you to visit a weekly market at Asni, after which you will meet the mule crew that will accompany you for the duration of your hiking journey. You will enjoy a typical Berber tea ceremony before loading up the mules. Start your hike up the mountain of Toubkal at Imlil, you will cross the Tacht pass (7,100 feet) through the juniper forest visiting some cliff hunging Berber villages. You will stop for lunch at the Tiziane Springs, dinner and lodging for tonight will be in a typical Berber home.
Day 3: Hike from Imioughlad to Tikkent Valley
After breakfast, you will have time to prepare yourself for a day of walking up the slopes of these valleys. When you are ready, you will begin by climbing up the mountain to Teouti pass (7,000 feet), hiking through the evergreen juniper forests and flowing springs. After lunch, you will continue your active tour hiking onward to the Tikkent Valley, where you will camp for the night. This will be a natural camping we will set for our small group tour.
Day 4: Hiking from Tikkent to Tizi Oussem
Proceed on your tour walking in the morning the valley of Tikkent, you will visit the Azaden Valley, which ends climbing up at the pass of the Tougdalt (8,200 feet). You will eat lunch in the open air of the Thuya forest, bordering a mountain stream. You will then continue onward to Tizi Oussem, where you will camp for the night. This is a natural camping in the open of this plateau.
Day 5: Hiking from Tizi Oussem to Sidi Chamharouch
After breakfast, you will bw hiking across the pass of Mezzik (9,000 feet), and descend to Imlil-Aren. You will then climb to the Marabout of Sidi Chamharouch (9,550 feet), where you will spend the night camping in tents.
Day 6: Walking from Sidi Chamharouch to Neltner
Trekking in this altitude is being above vegetation so the mountains here are a bit deserted. The feeling in these high mountains is like being on the roof of the world. You will follow your mountain guide through these paths the Neltner refuge (11,000 feet), where you will spend the night.
Day 7: Trekking from Neltner to Lake Ifni
Over this plateau green in summer white in winter you will walk to Lake Ifni. Early in the morning, you will leave your campsite to travel to the Toubkal summit. Upon your arrival there, you will eat lunch. Afterward, you will visit the Lake of Ifni and return to your campsite for the night.
Day 8: Travel from Lake Ifni to Imioughlad
Your hiking journey has reached its peak and it is time to return baco to lower elevation at Imioughlad. You will descend from the Toubkal peaks to spend the night at Imioughlad village, in a Berber home.
Day 9: Travel from Imlil to Marrakech
You will spend your morning riding to Imlil, where you will leave your mules. Bit goodbye to your mountain guide and sherpas. May be some other Berber friends you have made along your hiking tour of the Toubkal. Meet your driver to head back to Marrakech, where you will spend the night in a hotel.
June 10: Historic visit of Marrakech
You will spend your day exploring Marrakech, touring the city with a professional local guide. Your tour will feature the city major monuments and museums. In the afternoon, you will visit the exotic markets and workshops in the city older section, and finish your afternoon in the bustling Jamaa El Fna Square. You will enjoy a festive dinner in a typical Moroccan restaurant with traditional local entertainment.
June 14: Flight back home
