Day 1: Arrive at Madrid Airport, transfer to Toledo
Upon arrival in Madrid (Spain Capital), your host will meet you at the airport and will transfer you to your hotel in Toledo. Relax and acclimate for the remainder of the morning. The afternoon will be devoted to exploring the historic sites of Toledo with your professional Muslim guide. Lunch Halal is in a restaurant. The afternoon will be devoted to visit and explore the historic, Islamic and historic sights of Toledo. Toledo (the old Islamic Moorish city) is where it all started, the fall of the vandals and the rise of Islamic civilization. Visit the monumental Mosque built by Mussa Ibnu Ali in 999 ad to rival in elegance, beauty and Islamic architecture mosques in Damascus, later on after the reconquista it will become the Church of Christo de la Luz. Your city tour will proceed to the ramparts entering the city from its oldest gate Bad al Saqra to the old Moorish city. There is another mosque located near the souk called Mosque of the Tornerias. This Mosque has special arches similar to the Grand Mosque of Cordoba, tow courts and a wonderful Mihrab. We will pray Asr in an open mosque nearby. The best panoramic, then your guide will take to the panoramic view overlooking the Marvelous city of Toledo, this is the location of Alcazar, a famous Palace of Muluk Tawaif "Muslim Kings of Spain". We will end our tour in the Zocodover square, this use to be the livestock market from the 10th century. Dinner is in a Halal restaurant.
Day 2: Travel from Toledo to Sevilla
Depart in the morning from Madrid to Toledo. You will get an introduction to the heartbeat of artistic Spain visiting the historic highlights. We'll have Halal lunch on the road and pray Dhuhr and asr on the road. We will visit Cordoba in the afternoon then continue to Seville for dinner and overnight. Cordoba was an important capital for in Muslim Spain era. It is place of remarkable Islamic monuments and most important is the Oumayyad Great Mosque which we will visit of course.
Day 3: Seville city tour
After breakfast your local guide will take you on a monumental visit of Sevilla. This is the most beautiful esthetically and most lively city in Spain. Your visit will cover the sights and sounds of Sevilla. From the Roman site of Italica to the striking Museo de Bellas Artes, the Alcazar Palace, the Tower of Torre del Oro, not to miss of course the one and only Giralda still proudly standing overlooking the Guadalquivir to witness the glory of Moorish civilization. We will pause for lunch in a Halal Restaurant. After our prayers we will proceed our tour to discover which of Sevilla glorious monuments would be your favorite. A stroll in horse carriages will be devoted to visit the Casa de Espana and the gardens of Queen Louisa la Loca. Dinner will be at a Halal restaurant.
Day 4: Travel from Sevilla to Arcos, Cadiz then Ronda
Travel in the morning along la routa del Toro (the road of the Bull) known for its best Andalusian white villages in Spain. We will cross down south to Cadiz a vibrant city with an Atlantic aura different than any town on the Mediterranean. Cadiz is surrounded by small fisherman villages with Moorish architecture. Across the Malaga Mountains to Ronda we will visit small villages such as Grazalema, Arocos and many more where an Islamic influence is still roaming. The cleanness of their rooftops in titanium white, windows rimmed in aquamarine bleu, streets so clean you can walk barefoot in them, geranium red welcomes you in every door are all symbols of an old Islamic tradition. Ronda is a timeless city, a totally unique Andalusia jewel nestled in these mountains with ancient origins and one important emblem of typical Moorish pueblo blancos (white villages) in Spain. Cobble stone alleys, beautiful churches, some were mosques in Islamic time, enthralling white washed buildings are all waiting to be explored, not to mention of a typical Moorish cuisine unique to this region. There is small mosque that will host our prayers built for the local small Muslim Community. Dinner will take place in a Halal diner.
Day 5: Ronda City tour
The morning will be devoted to monumental tour of Ronda with Muslim guide who will decipher the history of this old outpost of the mainly the Moors who came from Berber origins.
Day 6: Ronda excursion to Gibraltar
Most of the day will be devoted to these mountains of Malaga white villages then transfer to Gibraltar in the afternoon. Gibraltar holds a lrge Muslim Community mainly Moroccan. A Halal restaurant will host us for dinner. This is a British enclave so everything is different in all aspect from Moorish Spanish to British. But a flavor of Morocco is there as there are only 8 miles that separates Gibraltar from Tangier. In good weather we can see the other side of the African shore. This is a place that is worth visiting.
Day 7: Travel from Gibraltar to Granada
Travel in the morning to Granada along la Costa del Sol to reach the dramatic ridges of the Sierra Nevada and its typical Moorish villages that punctuate the pride of great people. Because of the proximity to Morocco we see more Islamic places along these shores. Mosques and Halal restaurants are in abundance. It is mostly a tourist area with resorts and beaches along the Mediterranean shore. Dinner and Overnight will be in Granada. Across the Sierra Nevada Spain highest mountains that provide the backdrop for this city. Granada holds the monumental Muslim land mark Alhambra palace, Sublime Islamic architecture and unrivaled irrigation system by Moorish aqua docks for its Genralife Gardens. You will also visit the old Moorish quarter of Albaicin unique in its history as the last outpost of Muslim Spain and the holder of many Christian monuments, including the tombs of King Fernando and Queen Isabel. After Maghrib Salat we will stroll at the Al Baicine old Moorish quarter facing the kingly Palace of Alhambra.
Day 8: Guided historic tour of Granada
Morning will be spent visiting Muslim highlights with a visit to the great mosque of Granada. Full afternoon will be devoted to Alhambra Palace. Dinner will be at Halal restaurant.
Day 9: Day trip from Granada to Madrid
Travel from Granada to Madrid in the morning via Valdepenas a drive through Jaen home of a large Muslim community visit and pray here then proceed to Madrid. Continue to the shady groves of Aranjuez beside the Tagus River. Lunch by the Jardin De la Isla, then continue to Madrid. Dinner will be in a Halal place. Overnight is in Madrid.
Day 10: Madrid Guided City Tour
Our morning is devoted to visit the monuments of Madrid including the Prado Museum. The afternoon will at your leisure. Farewell dinner in a Halal cuisine dinner. Overnight is at the hotel. End of our services.
Day 8: Transfer to Madrid Airport for your flight back home
Transfer to Madrid Airport for your flight back home. Our guide will help you with checking and bid you goodbye.
